This sunday Oct 29th Toys R Us will be doing Playstation 3/ Wii preorders in very limited quantities. Locations are supposedly getting 4-10 60GB $599 Premium bundles and 1-4 20GB $499 Standard bundles.
For the record, the first 500,000 PS3's will ship with a taladega nights blu-ray disk. The $499 PS3 WILL be HDMI compatable.
Neither console supposedly will have the HDMI cable included according to the PS3 website, but rumor had it that the HDMI cable would be included.
Seein as how these pre-ordered units are fetching atleast $1500 USD already, these next batch of preorders may go for even more. I'll be at Toys R Us bright and early for sure lol.

I waited outside the local Toys R Us for 11 and a half hours in the 25 degree weather with the wind blowing like mad. Put $50 down and need to pay another $549 when I got to pick it up on the 17th. What a day that was

I also then cant wait to hawk it in early december for about $3,000 USD on ebay and go out and buy myself a new 37" 1080p flatpanel LCD and then another PS3 in the spring when there are more... best of all it wouldnt have cost me anything other then my time.

The real reason that Ill end up getting 5-7 times what I've paid for this PS3 is that its going to be christmas and when people find out this is the only way some of them will pony up. The people selling now and how have already sold with the intentions of shipping on launch day have already bit the bullet for me.... thats that many less systems on ebay during the last week of november and the first week in december.

The auction site pulled many of these tickets and I bet a few got stuck with them and had to go (I hope).

Personally I believe people who do things like this (who really just want to make a quick buck off someone else) are callous. Its not entrepreneurship, its just rude.

Now I really dont intend to sell it, but if someone will offer me $3000 or more then you would be a fool not to take it. I will say this though, those people who camped out for EB games / Gamestop preorders will be very upset.

I really dont WANT to sell it, but if someone offered you 4-5X your $600 dollar investment you wouldnt take it? Basically you get another for free and a whole bunch more profit with the catch of having to wait until next spring. Some people value the time waiting more then the money, so they'ed sooner empty their checking account out in order to get one right now.
