Of course I don't know what it is but I don't see the word "Alcohol" anywhere either.

Its a Program to do with Audio/MP3 from Franzis Verlag which can be found in German speaking countries. Appart from the apparent Alcohol related "A" logo This software has nothing at all to do with Alcohol soft products, It is not supprted by Alcohol Soft, it has no affiliation with Alcohol Soft.

It is too bad that the programme uses the same logo design of Alcohol but just slightly changes from 120% to 180%. sad.gif

I think that it is obvious enough that the "A" in this case comes from "Audio" and not from "Alcohol". Yet the presence of the percentage is strange and creates this confusion.

The logo is similar, but different enough that they can claim it as original.

Yeah, a little too close if you ask me. Now if you both were hq'd in the USA, you could sue eachother till both companies went bankrupt. and maybe you could call in the DMCA, even if it's unreleated.

God bless america right?

rolleyes.gif The scary part is, sueing each other appears to happen more and more often these days. Even 'down under' in Australia.
But back on topic, it does appear to be similar to alcohols logo.

biggrin.gif This is not always the case. When Microsoft firstly declared that it would use 'Vista' as the name for its next version of Windows, another company objected because 'Vista' was its trademark, and considered to sue Microsoft.

However, 'Vista' at last becomes the real name of this Windows, and there has not been any legal case... It really depends on your rivals. rolleyes.gif
