Last week, I downloaded the newest version of Alcohol for trial use before purchasing. I have burned 4 game discs successfully: LOTR-BFME; Company of Heroes; Oblivion; Supreme Commander. I just received Command & Conquer 3 and successfully imaged that disc also; HOWEVER, when I try to run from the mounted image, I received a funky, non-uniform error window (473 x 210px with off-center wording) stating "Conflict with Emulation Software detected."

I have not had any problem with the other software images created; they all work as "real" discs. What can I do? I have tried to find similar issues on this help forum, but nothing has been reported like this. I do not want to purchase this product if it will not work with new discs, but am assuming I am not doing something correctly with your software.

System Info:
Windows XP Professional 5.1 Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Processor info: Dual Core AMD Opteron™ Processor 175 x 2 (2310MHz)
Memory Available to Windows: 2,096,620 KB
NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT
Realtek AC'97 Audio

If you've emailed the report to the support team we'll unfortunately have to wait until that filters down the channels. If you would like a faster response you can copy and paste the information in to a post here.

Thank you, I removed your report after review. C&C3 uses SecuROM, which attempts to blacklist the virtual drives. Try using Y.A.S.U. to bypass the blacklist. The latest version is 1.1.7035.

YASU was a success. Since some of the best games are coming out with this protection, and your product won't work without YASU, why don't you put this information in the Readme file with the link. It would certainly help newbies like me! whistling.gif

One last question, will I have to continue to upgrade YASU if I upgrade Alcohol 120 or is it totally independent and only upgraded if/when new security formats ensue?

Thanks for this assistance and I think you have gained a new customer.

Most of the information is already there, you´ll have to do a search for it ;-)
The blacklisting is updated regularly, so we must update regularly too. Implementing those changes in the main software is very complex, time-consuming and finally expensive. It is easier and much faster to add a little sweet tool to fight the blacklisting. That is what we are doing. As customer you´ll have access to the customer forums such as the YASU-Forum which is moderated by the Developper of YASU himself or the french-speaking forum!
We wish you to be happy with our software and to greet you in the near future as a customer.

Ok, so I had the same problem as mentioned above. I am using the trial version of Alcohol 52% though, and trying to run the same Command and Conquer game. After I used the YASU software, I got a different error: "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000)." So what exactly causes this problem? My system report is below.

Also, I have tried enabling the "Sub-Channel Data Fixed and Emulation" option, but to no avail.

Thanks for any help,
Anthony

What settings did you use to make the image?

This message just indicates that your image is bad. Remake it with the SecuROM NEW(4/5/7) Alcohol's datatype if it is on a CD and use high precission and minimum speed when obtaining the DPM data. If it is on a CD just select the "Data Position Measurment" option and obtain the DPM data at high precission and maximum or submaximum speed. Then try to play again with the mounted image using YASU, if your image is good you won't receive this message again.
