Hi im new here, ive read the FAQ and looked around a little, however im capped so most of the searches dont turn out so i decided to post =)

Ive recently started to back up my game CD's and turn them into images(iso or mds/mdf).
So far i havent run into any problems however...

Ive been wondering if the READING SPEED to perform the image making task effects the quality of the image?
I do realise that when making securom images ud have to reduce the speed but is it necessary for a .iso image?

Ive been making images all iso images at max speed

if anyone can shed some light on if this causes any problems it would be nice =)

Ive got a DVD-RW PIONEER burner
http://www.atomicmpc....asp?CIID=87256

that is the link for my burner if it helps

Thanks in advance for any advice =)

In general the lower the reading speed the better. Also note that ISO images can't hold the data of the most of the copy protections.
