System info reads as followed from the view in Acholal 120:

When making a backup copy of my game Neverwinter Nights. THe burn process goes fine. When starting the game the exe file launches. Which gives me the options to play, update, info, or exit. When Clicking on the play button, THe error pops up and reads.

Original disc could not be found or authenticated.

What needs to be done so I can back up my disc and put the originals away? Dont want my kids messing them up.

I have even tryed reinstalling with the burnt disc, it will also install fully and give the same error.

How did you make your Image (settings)? Neverwinter nights uses SecuRom v4.xx if IŽm not wrong. Did you use the correct settings? You shouldnŽd have problems backing up this game.

I have tried all the SecuRom (SecuRom*New, SecuRom *NEW 4/5/7, and SecRom), General Protected CD, CD-Cop. All has failed. This is "NeverWinter Nights 2" not the 1st one. I use the default settings that come on those paskages and have burn about 20 disc at different speeds. Same results on all. There is not a SecuRom to use v4.xx(as the version) to select. How do I check the Image setting that the disc uses?

You must use the SecuRom *NEW 4/5/7 profile. Since the game is on DVD( if I'm not mistaken) you must use the maximum speed for obtaining the DPM data( instead of the minimum speed used for CDs). Check if the image works mounted in the virtual drive, if the image still doesn't work please report the error that SecuROM gives. If you want to make a backup copy you must burn the image with the RMPS data and activate the RMPS emulation in the Alcohol's options in order to play with it.

Acording to Alcohal it is CD and I have already tryed that method. Is there a way I can see what the image settings are?

Then make the Image with 1x DPM, mount it to the virtual drive, try to play with it and report the error that you receive from SecuROM. As for the game's copy protection version it is something well known, in fact you may be able to find it in the Alcohol's copy protection database( of course this doesn't mean that the ProtectionID doesn't do its job).
