So, I start up trial version of Alcohol 120%, and I want to burn a .CUE file (it's not corrupted or anything) to a DVD-R, and it's in the drive, I set up everything the way I want (16x/2400 kb/s, writing method RAW DAO, with enable buffer under-run technology checked, even though I don't know what that does). Hit start... says initializing device, then says 'Blank Disc (DVD-R)' and proceeds to just count how many seconds have ticked by, and nothing else.

Any help?

Most probably you are trying to burn a CD image to a DVD-R disc, you are unable to do this, you will need to use a CD-R/RW disc instead.
