I am a long time Alcohol 120% user and owner of 2 lifetime licenses, and I believe I am aware of what Alcohol can and cannot do. I was suprised to read on Aldohol-soft's main page (http://www.alcohol-soft.com/) that:
Alcohol 120%, is a powerful Windows CD and DVD burning software...
This text is supposed to be read by prospective customers and I find it to be rather misleading.
It has never been Alcohol-soft's intention to sell "CD and DVD burning software" - I, among others, have asked on more than one occasion to include simple burning functions (not burning of images, but of files, etc.) in Alcohol 120%, but have always been refused with the explanation that there are enough dvd burning software titles out there, and Alcohol is something else.
OK, if it is not a dvd burning software primarily - why market it as one? And if you would like to be selling CD and DVD burning software, why not add more burning options to Alcohol?

Marketing Alcohol as 'Alcohol 120%, is a powerful Windows CD and D

I was told the same thing, that 120 was built as a Virtual drive program that was able to burn files. I think that the marketing should also still attempt to promote the vitual drive aspect along with the burning drive features. I was pulled in to Alcohol for the virtual drive and have stayed just for it. The burning to me is a bonus, but that is just me.
