I'm testing Alcohol 120% at work, with the hopes of purchasing it soon if it meets our needs. I've been impressed so far, but I do have a couple of issues. Once I've shared the Virtual Drive across the network, I'm unable to mount an ISO when I'm using the Virtual Drive on a client. What are the steps I need to take?

I also have a question about the ability to password protect the Virtual Drive. How do I do this correctly. I've entered a password within Alcohol when I share the virtual drive, but when I try to access the drive on a client, all I get is drive is hidden from login. What do I need to do to correct this?

When creating your share(s) in Alcohol please try to enable the "Share read" option, it should help in what you want, also note that you may need to increase "Max allowed target connections in share mode" nunmber.

Concerning password protecting your shares, you need to use Permissions button to set that after your share have been created.

However I think it would be a better idea if you just share your CD/DVD image files on your server (using Windows file share) and then install Alcohol 52% on each client PC (even Alcohol 52% Free Edition will suffice if you don't need more than 6 virtual drives in each client pc and if you use it for for private, non-commercial usage), this way you will be able to just mount the image files you want on your client PC's and it will also be a better solution for protected cd/dvd titles that may have problems to run from shared drives.
