Hello,

I just install Alcohol 120% Trial, the last version available on the download page (2.0.1.2033), to check if it is an interesting software, and... It don't begin well.

Install process is OK, no errors appeared.
Emulation is OK. I only did one test ATM but I guess I can bet on it.
Adding image files in the list, no problem.
DVD/CD Manager is fine.

But it is all.

Image Making Wizard
Image Burning Wizard
Copy Wizard
Image Finder
Erase Wizard

All of them give me this error :

In english, this message means "Not implemented". Why, not implemented ? Or maybe it is the error message who is not implemented, but I didn't install any other language than english, it shouldn't even be written in french in the first place.

As the trial version is expected to be with no limitation of capabilities, I guess there is an error somewhere, but I don't know what it can be.

I join the System Info data in the spoiler.

To complete it as it don't seem written inside, the dvd burner I use is connected using SATA (Pionner DVR-215D).

Spoiler

I hope you can give me a solution for this curiousity :)

TKMankind.

After some reboots, relaunch and few others tests, nothing changes excepted that the message is now in full english : "Not Implemented".

I never saw something like that.

Is your trial version really without any limitation ?

The error you´re receiving is very weird. Maybe the download was corrupted, try downloading the trial again from here: Alcohol 120%

I tried with the link you provided, after a good uninstall of course, but the problem remains.

I will make a try on a brand new XP 64 SP2 without any others updates. Maybe there is a MS patch who screw up things. I expected to do it to see if it happens for an another problem, but I will test Alcohol in the same time. I will keep up informed when it will be done.

Apparently, it works even with a XP 64 CD who was updated. I tried with the last one I created who include all the last hotfixes, before using the original XP CD for the other problem.

So, I don't know why it don't work on my actual system (that I restored at the end), but it seems that something changed and it broke Alcohol. Maybe a broken hotfix (with MS, wouldn't be the first time...). I will have to format the computer someday <_<

Sorry for the inconvenience :)
