Hi all

I am running the 52% Free version just to see if it would work on the DVD's and CD's that i have.

Problem is it has not worked on any CD or DVD.
I travel from country to country and did not want to carry all the cd's of the games i play plus laptop( it's a lot of games :0 ) and the same with the wife's laptop to.
every things seam's to work no problem with the networking of the 2 PC's and the 3 laptops all can see and access the files with the 52% virtual drives with the files that i have done.

Problem i have is it will not do a working copy of any of my games.

example the wife plays the sim's ( late night)a lot. so i tried to make a copy for her on my laptop when i did a check to see what encryption the DVD had there was no option for this in the options ( cd had 4 encryptions none where in the list. EA Custom protect, PE Compact V ????, Install Shield, Null soft and so on) i was hoping i would not have to use other programs that make it illegal to use them.

am i going to have the same problem with the 120% not being able to make backups of my DVD's AND CD's i need to know as i would be wasting my money on a program that will not work on what i need it to do.

(don't worry about laptop it's a custom built I7 extreme edition 3 hard drives GTX 480m x2 12GIG ram, Bue-ray 3D)

You should be able to backup most of your games with Alcohol.
First thing you should find out is the copy protection used, there you have another little tool call Protection ID (just google for it).
Once you know the CP (copy protection), just use the information provided to make your image. The Sims is mostly copy protected with SafeDisc.
Otherwise, we do expect to receive your system report from within Alcohol (just copy paste it). thanks.

OK np problem it's attached to the end for you, also i have included the sim's from Protection ID that i do have and use, I did try to make a back up of that game with safeDisc but it's still not working.
hope this is just me or something i have not done as this looks like the software that would make life a lot lighter threw customs.

Hello,

What is the exact error message you´re getting?
What settings did you use making the Image (type, speed, and so on)

Did you install the game from the Image or the the DVD?
Any other similar soft installed, incl. virtual drives?

This one seems not to be protected by Safedisc. EA Custom Protection?
Does anyone know about the PE Compact one?

so it is a good job that i only tried the program as it will not work on any of my games or programs that this programme say it can ?????


any one know of a program that i can use to save me caring my CD/DVD then or do i resolve to ###### sites for no cd???? and take a chance that costumes don't ask to check my hard drives again?
