Hi everyone, I am using Alcohol 52% on Windows 11 x64 for mounting image files. I have enabled the shell extension option, and .ISO files are set to A52. However when I double click on an ISO file in Explorer, it doesn't auto mount the image, instead opening up the A52 interface requiring me to manually select the file and mount. Also when I right click the file in Explorer, there is no Mount option (in both the Win 11 context menu and the classic context). Could anyone help please?

Well, the program doesn't work this way. In order to mount an image without openning Alcohol you must rightclick on the virtual drive that you want to mount the image, position the mouse cursor on the "Mount image" option in the context menu and then click on "Open" and select the image that you want to mount.

Then what exactly is the Shell Extension option in the settings? It does state there that you can mount/unmount in File Explorer.

Yes, it says so but the "Open" option or the doubleclicking just opens Alcohol. You can mount images in Explorer only in the way I described. I don't know if it is a mistake but that's how the program really works.

I see now, thank you! It only appears in the older context menu - I'll make a suggestion regarding that.
