For the purpose of bypassing blacklists, would enabling the user to change the name of the SCSI controler have any affect? I'm not too familiar with what programs look at to determine if Alcohol is installed.

Its the actual virtual driver that is blacklisted, that is why we need to release an update with an adjusted driver, there is nothing that the end user can do to solve this problem, it has to be done with an updated driver.

Pardon my naivety, but would it be possible to dynamically change what the blacklist is looking for every time the program boots? This would make it a bit harder for the game developers to figure out what they had to add to their list. Even if it was a seperate program that loaded in the background to perform the task before the driver or program loaded (a.k.a. Alcohol), it would save the end user a headache when installing game patches. Fight fire with fire.
Of course, since I don't know a thing about programming, this might be just a pipe dream.

Expert Mode Rocks!!
So at the end it was the name of the device that was the source of the blacklisting? Hmmm...
I have not tested this feature yet, but if it works. Then IT ROCKS
What do you suposse to do, change thi name at installation? Is it possible to change it after the install process or people has o reinstall the soft for changing it?
Could be nice to see some explanation about this somewhere in the forum.

If you have a game that gets blacklisted then you need to re install Alc and change the driver names by using "Expert Install Mode"
