I always buy from www.blankdiscshop.co.uk and I like Ice DVD-r 4x. They aren't the cheapest on the site, but haven't had a single media faliure with them on my Pioneer 105. They have a great plain white surface with no company logo too ( not that it really matters, just something I like).
I've bought from this company many times, and can say they're always fast and reliable.

I always buy from Shop4tech.com, they are cheap and I have never had a bad disc. They sell all sorts of brands, but I normally buy the house brand which is the cheapest and they never fail me!

For DVD you should always use high-quality media. Compatibility is more sensitive then normal CD-R.

Check the forum out and find the media that your burner produces the best quality with.

Just FYI (because it irks me every time someone says this), It's + (plus) and - (dash), not - (minus). smile.gif

the + standard is said to be more compatible with standalone players and PS2's. + blanks are also more expensive then - discs.

welcome babk GL. as said before look up your burner for disk problem. i miself with my pioneer have no problems with CHEAP DVD-r. but i did with my NEC1300a. theses are the likns i use.
http://www.allmediaoutlet.com/amo/ for my disks.
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ for research.
:tu:
on a side note the battle about image quality is mute to me ive tried two or three movies put them both on + and - (minus) hhahaha. and i PERSONALY couldnt tell a difference. as for the PS2 factore lets just say it did me well when i got my second xbox. that plays both + and -.

Tron as for that favor you asked of me as soon as you asked the guy that does that kind of just disapeared. Im really sorry about that and no i havent forgot about you.

I've only good experiences with Verbatim -R blanks. They're not too expensive (€1,90) and my DVR-106 produces really quality burns with them. They've worked in every device (standalone, PS2 etc) so far.

Also got some 'Platinum DVD+R'. Really cheap (€1,50) and they're made by Ritek. Good quality and compatibility.

and this is for dear binky laugh.gif : http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvd

Seems I spoke too soon about ICE dvd-r never having failed me. Over the last 2 days, I have had 3 failiures written at 4x, when the exact same information written at 2x is ok. Think I may have a faulty batch, as they are all from a new spindle.
I've ordered Ritek Datasafe 4x -r today to try out. Anyone got any good/bad experiences with them?
Also, it would appear most of you guys are from the states, so my link to www.blankdiscshop.co.uk won't be of much use to you ... sorry, didn't check before I mentioned it!
