Drives no longer recognize any for of cd.

I tried that as well, and it said it fonds problems but could not repair them.

I just tried that and its still not working. I even physically removed the drives and then reinstalled them and that didnt work either.

Download and run the attached autofix program from Microsoft. It checks for incorrect settings in the autorun/autoplay, which is what it sounds like is happening. See if it fixes your problem.
I tried that as well, and it said it fonds problems but could not repair them.
Did it report any details of these problems?

Download and run the attached autofix program from Microsoft. It checks for incorrect settings in the autorun/autoplay, which is what it sounds like is happening. See if it fixes your problem.

I've done everything you recommended and there are no files, like that found in any of my folders including all hidden files.
