Hello,
I accidentally installed Alcohol120_retail_1.9.8.7612 on my DELL Wind 8.1 (64bit)
(I later found out the version doesn't actually support win 8.1)
During the installation process, I was asked to restart.
After restart, the program immediately asked for authorization to complete installation, which I allowed.
The computer then crashed into a blue screen, due to "Critical Structure Corruption"
Since then, my computer has been crashing into the same blue screen approximately every 20 minutes..
I sent in my DMP files to Microsoft and they said that the crashes were caused by memory corruption mostly likely due to a driver.
I'm unsure if Alcohol was installed or even half-installed.
The program does not show up in my start menu.
There is no folder in my C:\\ program files.
I also cannot see it in my list of programs installed (in control panel).
It is also not visible in safe mode.
Has anyone been in this situation?
Could someone give some furthur advice of what I can do??
Is it possible that because the system shut off half-way through installation that something was left in the system that is affecting it?
(sorry.. I'm not really that tech-savvy so just making wide guesses here)
Thank you so much!!
Lily
