Here are my thoughts about the new version:

1. Make it be able to be used by ordinary user, not admin; like Virtual CD.
2. Add some more formats supported and, maybe, converting from different formats ( cue - iso, vc4 - iso -cue - bin and so on)
3. Auto detection of the protection system and auto configurating options
4. Fix the Blue screen bug in 2000/XP systems.
5. Additional functions like preventing of autorun...
6. last: make VirtualCDs differ from the real by icon or something else.

So i want it all to be implemented into new version to make Alcohol be more similar to VirtualCD that i use now. TherE are many functions that can be useful in your program, so take a look at them. Overall alcohol is great program and i want it to become better due to these functions. tHANK YOU.

yes, point 5 is good!

I use axcmd to mount the image and run the games exe-file. the autorun-screen always starts though its not necessary.
BUT I dont want to turn off autorun completely (through TweakUI etc.) because I want the CD label to refresh automatically. with autorun disabled youll have to refresh manually in the explorer window.

so a simple prevention of starting the autorun.inf would be nice smile.gif

@ IGL -> You do know you can disable autorun for the virtual drive only using tweakui?

There is a registry hack I use that disables Autorun but it still refreshes the labels.
Mind you, it will disable autorun on ALL your drives, but it would at least still refresh to show the new disc.

Err, sorry. Wrong link. But if you use the link above and make it 91 instead of 95, it will give you the desired result.
