Safedisc 3.2x is not more possible copied 1:1 how Safedisc 1.x, 2.x and <3.2x.
The structur is be changed extremly, so only some hardware/software-combination can read/write this 3.2x. Sometimes the copies works (can be read), sometimes again not read. Repeatly the copy works again. Its crazy. The copies do not work always. CD-RW (Sony) better as CD-R's (TDK).
Tested with Toshiba SD-R5112 (DVD-Burner), SD-M1712 (DVD-Reader), Plextor Premium 523252 (CD-Burner).
Safedisc is not really a hardware-problem, it is a software-related problem, that can be fixed with a new alcohol-version. Why not hardware-problem? Safedisc 3.2x is based on older safedisc-versions, only the new code must be integrate correctly in the software.
Alcohol-Team, can you please look for this in the next time (1-2 months)?
Safedisc 3.2x soon possible to copied?

Actually, Safedisc is very hardware dependent. Emulation allows for bypassing some of those hardware requirements, but even with that some burners are just incapable of creating a backup of a Safedisc protected title.

Yes, its correct. Alcohol-emulations (yet) working with safedisc 3.2x. But its not the solution at all. Copies on cd's should be the target for a burning-software.

While that would be nice, Alcohol's main point when it was introduced was the fact that it offered software solutions to hardware problems (e.g. emulation for those without hardware capabale of making the copies). So as far as Alcohol is concerned, it is the solution. As I said, SD is VERY hardware dependent and nothing can change that. But if your hardware isn't up to snuff, then Alcohol can help you in emulating the protection.

Hi,
Alcohol's (my latest retail version) SD-emulation doesn't work for me. With Splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow (SD 3.20.22) and my LG8320B CD-RW I was not able to create a working backup. Even the emulation failed. The last copyable SD-version for me was 3.10.xx.
A emulated backup would be ok for me. But unfortunately this does not work at the moment.
Greetings
Alex

False. SC2-Pandora (SD 3.20.022) CD3(playdisc)-alcohol-image runs fine in virtual-drive from alcohol (actual version). Tested myself.

@Profi
Hi, I spoke about a burnt backup cd. This definitively doesn't work, even with Alcohol's SD-emulation enabled. About the virtual drive: this is right. Installing and playing from the virtual drive works. In this case no emulation option is needed.
