Would make Alcohol more complete if it can do file burning too because now ppl have to use software like Nero or windows xp one to just copy files to a cd.
Another suggestion

This has been requested before and the Alcohol devs do have premastering in the works, *but* do not expect this feature right away. It has been in the works for a while now and there is - as always - no eta on when it will be implemented. It could be next version, or it could be 2 years from now. It will be released when it's ready.

Premastering is perhaps the only thing that really prevents Alcohol 120% from being the best CD managing and burning program.I think it should be given high priority.

Charalambos at my point of view i think its more important beatting all new protections (new Tagès, Starforce3, and DVD protections) and premastering in a second term.
I've ever been heard that all-around-soft touches all and makes nothing good... jeje (i know it's not ever true) jejeje
Use Nero and wait paciently Alcohol create a pre-mastering
PS. As ever, i'm sorry if i seem rude, but my English knowledge.........

As Iluro80 has suggested, Alcohol's primary focus is allowing you to backup your precious copy protected originals. Premastering won't help in this, but would add another string to its bow, hence its in development.

When alcohol will come out, the sure is that new protections like securom 6 and safedisk 4 will take place. If new alcohol will bw so powerful we musnt worry.
New versions of alcohol include protections or some options from the old versions?

Well I guess I will need to buy a non file version of Alcohol 120% meanwhile and use Nero to burn files and boot cds.

Hi! .. I am not sure if I am writing to the right topic, but i would like to add a sugestion about CD and DVD burning on CD-RW and DVD-RW. There is a nice function in nero that I would like in Alcohol. When I burn something in Nero onto a RW medum that is curently filled with something, it asks me if i want to erase that medium before burning.
In Alcohol i have to cancel the burning dialog, go to the erase dialog and then again start the burning dialog .. i thing that little function would like many of your users.
Thanks for reading .. hopefully.
