Hi,

This is a suggestion / question regarding the actual Virtual Drive.

The Angle:

I am a software developer, interesting in using your sefotware to test our CD's so that we do not have to burn copious amounts of coffe placematts in our testing process.

The Requirement:

I Would like to be able to purchase a couple of full blown licenses of Alcohol 52 or 120 which ever our needs dictate, but we also like a version that only install the Virtual Drive.

The Result:

This would give us the power to turn our dev CD's into ISO's and then deliver to our testing team across the network, without the need for burning CD's and distributing them, they can just use their Virtual Drive Only to use the written ISO. They do not need the copying bundle, just the means to play the ISO.

Elby have done a similar thing with their Virtual Clone Drive, but unfortunately, it doesn't always work. Yours did with the same file it didn't.

The Question:

Is this likely?

regards,

Alex

If all you need to do is mount ISO files (no protection of CD Audio involved), you may want to try a free, unsupported utility from Microsoft.

Search for winxpvirtualcdcontrolpanel.
