I just went through a bunch of grief using some stupid Lead Data Inc ultra crappy CD-R media. Seems the idiot manufacturer rated it at 48x in the ISRC, and after much experimentation, turns out the NEC 2510A refuses to write it faster than 16x ... that's correct because on two other DVD writers they would BELIEVE the ISRC and totally screw up. [As a side note, looks like the NEC folks outsmarted the Lead Data folks, and ignored their ISRC, probably having come across their crap] Problem is, I wrote ONE HUNDRED DAMN THINGS using Alcohol and the OTHER (wrong) CD writers (Plextor and LITE-ON no less!). BTW. after finding this out, I slowed the LITE-ON down to 16X, and bingo, it started working on the same media. Plexstor absolutely REFUSED to write a good copy, even down to 2 x!! (what the hell?...I thought Plextor was one of the best)

I sure would like to see a check box in Alcohol that read:
___ Verify image after write

in the CD image burning wizard, to prevent future mishaps like this. (Lost two days sleep over this mess).

Thanks from San Jose, CA
