Programs such as Napster and iTunes require you to burn a cd using their built-in cd burning application. I want to be able to mount a Virtual Blank CD/DVD to my virtual drive and burn to the file so that I do not need to burn a cd first and then create an image of the cd as a backup.

A Google search for Virtual CD-RW should turn up a result or two that might help you.

while yes they do have software for that, but
its just another alcohol like peice of software without all the features. I don't want to install something as crappy as that because it probably will increase the problem with emulator blacklisting
so adding that feature to alcohol would be nice

True, but I believe it's been stated before that this is not planned for any time in the foreseeable future. Who knows 2 or 3 years down the road what might happen, but it's all speculation at this point.
