It would be nice if, in future versions of alcohol software, the software itself could auto detect the type of copy protection being used on a cd instead of a third party program like A-Ray or Protect ID being required. Would just be a nice little feature and would save some time.

This has been mentioned on a number of ocassions and the answer at those stages was "No" mainly due to legal restrictions. I doubt this has changed.
