i keep getting this error?

what do i do?

I am getting exactly the same error.
Tis error is generated during Install,
More specific it is generated during the step: of installing the SCSI interface driver.
The version I am installing (1.9.5 build 4327)is not mentioned in the "Remove Alcohol Manually" FAQ.
However it put me on the right point, except the entry to look for is somethin els (It started with VX and related to SCSI), Since I did not have this device, I removed it and now it installs.

I hope Support will be helped (Call 5875473 relates to this problem)

If you are meaning "VAX..." then this is residue from a previous version and the manual uninstall FAQ is designed to help. Glad your issue is solved.

He may mean the vaxscsi driver of the current version too.

[b]I'm using winXp x64 and had this error after I tried to upgrade my already up to date version of alcohol.

The solution to this problem is quite simple...
1. Locate the system32/drivers folder in your windows subfolders
2. Locate and rename the file vaxscsi.sys to vaxscsi.old
3. Reinstall alcohol
X. If you still get this problem, try:
a. ControlPanel/System/Hardware/DeviceManager/
b. Expand Scsi and Raid Controllers
c. Uninstall VAXSCSI before reinstalling
