Hello,
My alcohol 52 is great! It is the perfect tool for a program
that required the cd all the time.
I downloaded the Ubuntu iso successfully and moved it into
my virtual drive G: , instead of burning it to a bootable cd.
If booted from the cd, Ubuntu o.s. will launch.
However it can also be launched from the hd, but
I didnt want to install ubuntu on the hdd and create special
folders and files, etc... a bit confusing and not worth the
trouble.
It is my hope that ubuntu can be launched
from the g drive created for me by alchohol
My current boot drive is c and for winxp and my boot.ini
is configured with 2 options: 1) winxp or 2)cmdconsole
Is it possible to boot to Ubuntu on the G:?
If so, can someone show/paste a boot.ini so I can modify
mine.
I'd like to boot Ubuntu as the
third option from my boot.ini instead of booting directly from
a cd.
If not, then i'll make it easy and burn it to a cd....
thanks

You can't boot from a virtual drive because Alcohol's virtual device drivers are loaded after the Windows startup, you can only boot from your hard disk drive or a bootable CD.
