trying to burn an image with my dvd burner and alcohol 120% doesn't do anything.

if i take the dvd out it properly says "No Disc" and when i put it back in it says "Blank Disc (DVD)" so it can see the drive/disc but it doesn't do anything, wtf?

Try writing it to a CD and not a DVD.

What are you trying to backup?
What are the settings used making the Image?
Original on CD or DVD?
Copy protected?
Btw, the "Blank Disc (DVD)" you get, happens mainly when one does try to copy to a DVD, but which original was on a CD. Thatīs probably the reason why Zamiel said that.

Note also that the size of the image can be bigger than the one of the CD or DVD that it was ripped from.

If the original in on a CD then Alcohol will not allow it to be written to a DVD. And as Charalambos stated, the image might be bigger than a CD can hold, but that is because the image holds other data that wont be written to the disc such as protection data. So it will still work. Try it.........

Its the correct kind of answer for the error you have, if you dontr want help then dont post here, when help is offerd please be polite, the People who answer your question have alot of knowlage of the software and know what the error message means.

So follow the advice and try a blank CD media.

Let me make this as plain as I can... "We require that a System Report from within Alcohol be posted before we will answer a Post. " If you do not post a complete "System Report" there will be no help offered.... This is our policy.
