I merged the two posts as post #21 was obviously an edit for post #20.

I've found that renaming the AXShlEx.dll usually makes azureus work again. Thus, naming it back to it's original name render's azureus unusable(crash on startup/torrent view).
However, in certain situations azureus runs fine with all these installed.
After a bit of testing, i've found that if you remove all your torrents(rename the AXShlEx.dll file to enable azureus to work, then rename it back after you're done) containing files which alcohol supports(iso, cue, pdi, mds etc.), it runs fine.
Here're some other sys. specs if needed:
x68 intel, win xp pro sp2, azureus 2.4.0.2, java 1.6.0.10, alcohol 1.9.5 build 3105.

So, what is it that you're downloading with Azureus that has an MDS extension? I think I see now why none of us could replicate the problem, we were downloading LEGITIMATE files. I get the distinct impression that's not the case with you. Please, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I"m not holding my breath.

Haha, You are very correct indeed(that why someone invented file compression since disc images compress VERY well), though that doesn't mean it's the only thing i download(believe it or not).
IMO, chances are that about 99.9% of disc images on the BT networks are you-know-what .
Honestly though, since such files aren't updated/need to be updated very often they make a very small percentage of my downloads[w/e difference that makes XD](which are mostly comprised of anime and music xD). The later being something many of us download.
