After choosing a file to burn onto a DVD, I get the "Prepare your CD/DVD Recorder" screen but I can't choose any - options and "Start" key are disabled.

What are we talking about, movie - game or just data?
How did you make your Image (settings, etc...)?
Do you have a MDS file?

It's a video, shot from a DVD videocamera then later on burned to MDF image from a laptop that was since sold - I don't remember the settings. Yes, I have both MDS and MDF file. Thanks.

In the General Options page, try changing the Device Control from Default to Windows.

Just tried that but problem persists. Any other idea?

Do you have the same problem with other disk images? Maybe the image is corrupt. Try mounting it to a virtual drive to check if it mounts normaly. If it does then you can use the virtual drive as the source and burn the image as a virtual disk with the Copy Wizard.
