I've seen a few other threads about this, but never an answer. I'm trying to burn an image of Partition Magic to DVD to use as a boot disk (created the image with Alcohol 120%), but whenever I choose the Image Burning Wizard, then the .MDS file, I get a window that states: "Waiting for disc".

I took a screen shot to cover all bases...

I took out the blank DVD that was in there and tried 4 others, and every time it indicates that it sees a blank DVD but wont progress from that window.

Any help would be muchly apreciated.

Thanks

I suppose that "Partition Magic" is a soft? Does the original software come on Cd´s or DVD´s ?

That error means Alcohol is looking for a CD, not a DVD. So you need to burn it to a CD instead.

@ptolomeus3

Partition Magic allows you to resize your partitions whilst still retaining all the data.

Ahh, so because it's a CD image, you can't just throw it onto a DVD and have it work?

And the reason I need the boot disk for Partition Magic is that I'm running a x64 system and PM doesn't work on x64 systems without a boot disk.

Thank you for your information.

You can only burn CD's to CD's and DVD's to DVD's, you can't mix and match etc.

Wicked, that's exactly what I needed to know. Threw in the CD and it worked great. Turns out I needed to do something else to get the program to work but now I know for the future. Thanks for all your help.
