I downloaded the 15 day trial from the main page and after installing, my screen went black and nothing resonded apart from the ctrl-alt-del window from which I could get into regedit and remove everything Alcohol-related.

However, my problems did not end with that or the manual removal of the stuff via Windows; right now my screen flickers from black and back every ten seconds, a problem I did not have before the Alcohol installation. Could someone please tell me how to repair this?

Have you booted in to Safe Mode and uninstalled Alcohol to see if that fixes the issue?

Does the Screen Flicker in Safe Mode?

I've had a screen flickering issue previously and it was a graphics driver related issue. Try to reinstall your GFX drivers in case the regediting accidentally removed something needed by your drivers.
