Is it possible to add support to burn iso's directly to a usb key?

I wish to preserve the booting abilities of the disk, so file copying the files wont work..

I fail to see why its not possible to burn a 650 meg image to a 2 gig usb key that will ALSO take advantage of
bootable cd's

for example..

insert windows xp cd
create iso
burn iso to usb key
boot from usb key
install windows

as for dumping and changing paths Ive tryed everything from re-assigning drives and subst to voodoo and witch craft.. nothing works, so if you have a cool way to do so.. pls leme know.

this has nothing to do with burning.
you can make an bootable USB Key without alcohol.

you must simple prepare the usb key and then copy the XP files on it

ISO images don't preserve the booting part of the disk, try to make a ccd/img/sub image of the disk or a mds/mdf one- whitch is the native of Alcohol.

I think that in order to boot from a USB device you need two things: support from your computer's BIOS and a boot area. In order to transfer this boot area from the disk you must make the image using the mentioned image formats and then copy it to the USB device.

He need the tool "USB Multiboot2" or "WinSetupFromUSB" (its better)
he should integrade the SP3 if it a older WinCD and he need an USB KEy with min 1GB free space

with this method he don't need to copy/ectract the boot sector from the original disc, this need only a slipstream installation

@Zurn
"burn" an ISO to a USB Key (i.e. a Windows Disc) this will NEVER work. A bootable disc and an usb key need another boot sektors/files
