Thought I would try Alcohol, to create virtual drives and make a backup of my CoHeroes DVD.
Run "Alcohol120_trial_2.0.1.2033.exe", only to have it say to reboot after it installs some SPTD.
So I comply and reboot. Once setup continues it again installs the SPTD and says to reboot. Ok fine. I do.
Then again it stars up again to say the same thing. I must conclude it is stuck in some loop.
I search the forums and find where I have to give permissions to the registry SPTD key, which I do.
I also download and install the stand alone "SPTD v1.74", install and reboot.
So, finally I run Alcohol trial install, but it just installs the SPTD again and says to reboot.
How to I fix this?
I have windows 7 x32.

Try this first: http://forum.alcohol...5-cant-install/
For users installing on Windows 7 and also using F-Secure They will have to turn off Advanced process monitoring under Deep Guard. It will not allow a new install with it running. Also with newer Versions of F-Secure you may have to completely disable Deep Guard.
If you have any problems with Alcohol and use Commodo Firewall such as the Internal Setup Error during the installation also after installation then make sure that you only choose Firewall in the settings not the firewall with optimal or maximum protection.
