Disk drive interface when using Alcohol 120%

Can anyone tell me if there are particular I/O constraints when using Alcohol 120%? In addition to SCSI/ATAPI, can I use other interfaces such as SATA to connect the disk drive to the computer when using this application? Sorry my questions may seem naive but I am not an hardware expert...thanks!!!
