hi -

So - came across your software (want to back up some cd's that virtualdrive doesn't seem to)...

Downloaded from softpedia. Went to install it.

And then Windows 10 basically did this:

a) Immediately stopped the installation. Said there was a virus on it.

B) Deleted the file (totally deleted it, can't find it, not even in 'quarantine').

c) Then basically said apparently the software sets up a Ransomware attack, and to set up a onedrive file recovery in case of a "ransomeware" attack (which this software 'prompted' it to do)...

Assuming of course you wouldn't go to all this work just to stick a virus on the software... sooo... lol.

a) It doesn't have a virus, rootkit, trojan, or anything like that, correct? :)

B) I'm assuming softpedia didn't add a virus/trojan/rootkit/etc on it either... (unless maybe one of the mirrors has some .exe wrapper on it?)

So...

a) Were you aware of that? You might want to look into that...

B) IN the meantime, what would you recommend to do install?

Thanks!

Try to install Alcohol from this site. No, Alcohol is not a virus (ransomware? :o For God's shake!)).
