Sector Question

Ive recently been experimenting with some MS-DOS software for mounting and running CD images of games called SHSUCD. It only supports ISO. However, a couple of images arent recognised by it at all despite being created from the CDs. I got in touch with the software creator who informed me that
SHSUCD will only recognise 2048-byte sectors, not raw sectors, which are bigger. Ive looked through the various options, but I cant find anything to specify the amount of sectors or anything. I did try enabling Advanced Sector Scanning, but it didnt appear to work. Is there anything I can/should do to ensure it creates the ISO with the correct amount of sectors?
Thanks

As far as I Know ISO images have 2048-byte sectors by default.
However, a couple of images aren't recognised by it at all despite being created from the CDs.
There are games that are copy protected and any ISO images created from them may be corrupted.

Hmm. I did notice that if I tried to make a CD from a CD image, it gave me an option to select the Sector amount. But I also need to specify other info that I'm not sure about, which then produces a CD with nothing on it.
In the end, I did manage to find a DOS utility that creates the correct ISO image from a CD, even if an existing image is converted to a CD-R.

I can't find such an option. You mean perhaps the burning mode (DAO, SAO, RAW SAO + SUB e.t.c.)?

Perhaps the fact that is a DOS utility and makes images especially for DOS makes the difference.

If you select on Alcohol the option to create ISO image files then the created .iso files will always be non-raw 2048-byte per sector, you don't need to change any other settings. Alcohol will only store raw sectors data for other image file formats like MDS/MDF, CUE/BIN, CCD...

If the software isn't recognizing the images, try using other utilities to create ISO images, like ImgBurn or Alcohol 120%. They might offer more options for adjusting the sector settings.

ISO images always contain 2048-byte sectors by default. Period.
