Look this method doesnt work to all guys who have tried it.
Also a majority has made it.

The biggest problem i believe is the error after trying to replace the .mdf file.
I mean the renaming .bin file to .mdf.
Some answers have already given but some other guys are still looking for it.

The trick is that you must deselect the option "Hind extensions for common type archives" in the Folder Options in the Control Panel. Before it renaming is impossible, after it renaming is a child's play.

Will ask someone you must replace the bin to mdf or just to rename it?
Answer me in the greek forum because we can communicate better.

You mean "invalid image file". Then you haven't renamed it correctly, perhaps due to the reason I mentioned( you don't see the real file name unless deselecting this option) or there must be something wrong with the image.

You don't need this program to disable your drives. You can just didable temporarily your IDE controlers from the Windows Device Manager. It does the job and it's more suitable for the kids, too. huh.gif

Now the method to play a cd/dvd game with starforce 3.4xx, it's to create your mini-image as you know, to burn them into a blank cd/dvd and to run it from a USB2.0 drive.(Also don't forget to unplug your other drives).

If a mini-image works from a USB 2.0 external disc drive, could it also work from a USB 2.0 flash drive?

QUOTE (Bossman @ Aug 13 2004, 07:16 PM)
Ok, so far i've played Beyond Divinity and it worked like a charm ... i'm gonna try Soldiers of WW2 later today ... but the fact that you have to unplug all the optical devices totally sucks ... hope you guys find a fix for this ...

You can use a tool to enable or disable cd-dvd-drives...

Starf***

or

Starforce Nightmaire.

Both can enable and disable CD/DVD-Drives smile.gif
Just click on one of the options.

Edited due to the name of the program being inappropriate for the forum
